Applique is a type of decorative needlework that involves cutting out pieces of one fabric and sewing or otherwise applying them to the surface of another fabric. But I’m offering you and your kids a bit different type of applique – a paper applique.
This is a creative and very fun activity that is designed for one kid or a group of children. Kids will be acquainted with parts of the image and will learn how to add them to get a full picture, thus developing a sense of wholeness and imagination. You can also get creative further and ask children to glue the picture elements to the base.
Instructions:
Cut each printable in half and put the black and white image a side. It will later serve as a base. Cut out the color pieces of the picture and enjoy the fun activity with your kids.
